Located at the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city Centre, Traders Hotel by Shangri-la is looking for an Events Executive.
As Events Executive we rely on you: o Good knowledge of group rates structure, pricing strategy and client's special requirements in order to propose the best deal when handling leads/ enquiries in order to convert the leads / enquiries to confirmed events/groups o Demonstrate strong negotiation skill to maximize hotel profit in all revenue producing areas and practices up-selling at all opportunities to maximize revenue o Responsible for the dissemination of groups related information to other departments e.g. issues Event Orders, and attend pre-event meeting. o Actively involve in the operation of Events team and work closely with various departments to ensure quality standard service is delivered to our clients at all times. o Conduct sales calls and arrange familiarization / site inspection trips to for potential clients. o Ensures effective and close communication within the department and other departments. o Establishes and maintains files of major groups/events.
Requirements: o Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Tourism/ Hospitality/ Hotel Management. o Good command in writing & speaking English. Able to speak other languages will be an added advantage. o With a minimum of one (1) year working experience in similar capacity. o Self-management and to demonstrate core values among peers. o Good knowledge of computer (office) software and operates office equipment skillfully. o A team player, computer literate and have a good interpersonal skill. o Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
