Job Responsibilityo Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
o Direct manufacturing, installing, and testing of electrical equipment to ensure that products meet specifications and codes
o Design electronic components and software, products and systems for commercial, industrial, and scientific applications.
o Provide technical support and instruction to staff and customers regarding equipment standards, and help solve specific, difficult in-service engineering problems.
o Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
o Analyze system requirements, capacity, cost, and customer needs to determine feasibility of project and develop system plan.
o Confer with engineers, customers, vendors and others to discuss existing and potential engineering projects or products.
o Review and evaluate work of others, inside and outside the organization, to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy and compatibility in the resolution of complex engineering problems.
