Job ResponsibilityJob Description
> Provides career and academic counselling, planning, and advising to potential students; assists students in the development of testing strategies, writing skills, and completion of applications through seminars and workshops; coordinates applications for financial assistance.
> Liaising with respective departments in ensuring smooth application cycle.
> Participates in the development of student recruitment and retention plans, strategies, and written materials.
> Visits middle schools, high schools, and colleges, speaks to groups and individual students, and meets with school counsellors to promote outreach activities; coordinates community workshops and retreats; arranges visits from prospective students, parents & agents.
> Serves as a liaison to develop partnerships between the university and local school systems throughout the state.
> Recruitment of new agents to develop new market or expand existing market based on needs.
> Creates a database of prospective and current students and/or potential candidates in the state and across the country.
> Creates and distributes resource materials for student recruitment and retention programs; develops mentorship programs; analyzes trends in recruitment and retention programs; develops strategies for program evaluation.
> Prepares reports and proposals, and responds to inquiries from students and minority agencies.
> Develops operating goals and objectives for the unit; implements and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations, as appropriate to the unit.
Position Requirements :
> Must possess at least a Diploma and/or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication or a related discipline.
> Minimum 2 years of working experience in marketing, sales and/or event management preferably in the education industry will be an added advantage.
> Result oriented with pro-active attitude, pleasant personality with good communication skills and written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
> Energetic, Fast Learner and good Team Player.
> Able to travel and to work over weekends when needed during peak periods.
> Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply.
