JOB OVERVIEW
Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Media Relations Lead, the Digital Marketing Executive is responsible to assist in the planning, execution and optimization of online marketing efforts. In addition, the Digital Marketing Executive will support strengthening the community system strategies outlined by the Malaysian AIDS Council.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
1. Demonstrated experience in providing creative ideas for content marketing and updating website, social media, and other relevant platforms.
2. Should possess the knowledge of demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio related to HIV and AIDS in Malaysia and the approaches to address them.
3. Develop and write copy for digital content.
4. Write engaging and optimized copy for websites and able to develop creative and captivating copy for digital media ads.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a team. This includes verbal communication and multitasking skills.
6. Has strong knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and integrating keyword strategy into copy and content.
7. Willingness to travel regularly and in difficult circumstances.
8. Ability to create, execute and manage under tight deadlines.
9. Able to work independently and take initiative.
10. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant creative software is an added value.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
1. Generate, edit, publish and share daily content to produce graphic artwork and publishing elements for poster designs, advertisements, motion video graphics, website, point of purchase (if needed) marketing materials, event calendars, etc. for MAC, MOH and Uequals2U.
2. Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices. This includes reviewing other print media writing and press releases and suggesting improvements when necessary.
3. Write compelling blogs and other illustrating concepts and submit them for approval for proofreading, editing, and optimization. The content will be based on the planning concepts provided by the Media Relation Lead and Manager, Portfolio.
4. Actively collaborate with Program Division Team, Partner Organizations, stakeholders and other relevant parties to achieve the intended outcome.
5. Provide technical assistance and input when required, in all training and capacity development programs.
6. Engage with social media influencers under the supervision of the Media Relation Lead and Manager, Portfolio.
7. Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designers, marketing, printers, and stakeholders as necessary. The coordinator must include collaboration with Program Division Team.
8. Conduct field visits as required.
9. Undertake other responsibilities not outlined above which are commensurate with the role of the Digital Marketing Executive and which have been discussed and agreed upon between the Media Relation Lead and post holder to further aims of MAC.
