Job Description

Job Responsibility
  • Partnering with Accounts Receivable to resolve payment application discrepancies, ensuring offsets and adjustments are applied correctly.
  • Manage increasingly competing priorities and deadlines, providing outstanding support to our internal partners and external customers
  • Participate in or lead project development and execution for continuous improvement
  • Run day-to-day underwriting and collections, this requires keeping track of over-due customers' repayment, taking corrective actions, analysing bottlenecks and implementing solutions that bring process performance to the next level.
  • Managing the entire back office processes implies overseeing a wide range of operational activities alongside managing customer relationships. These include but are not limited to: performing credit analysis, establishing direct communication channels with borrowers, applying payments to individual accounts, identifying delinquent accounts, taking direct collections action, issuing monthly statements, addressing customer claims, etc.
  • Assist with the preparation of paid off loan requests from attorneys and customers including the preparation of legal documentation, payoff letters and mortgage discharges
  • Updating compliance references, conduct legal, compliance and operational research as needed.
  • Primary responsibility of for providing legal on-call line support
  • Make independent decisions for appropriate actions to be taken within regulatory guidelines, and assign cases to the relevant parties.
  • Represent the legal/compliance team on corporate projects
  • Prepare regular presentations on the overall status of operations and deliver results and improvement plans to the Directors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to connect with customers, direct reports and Board members.
  • Able to multitask, cope with high-volume operations and challenging targets, deal with pressure.
  • Able to deal with uncertainty and make decisions with limited information. Action oriented
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
  • Proactively support teammates with workload volume as bandwidth allows

Job Requirements

  • Degree / Diploma in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years working experience in Banks or Financial institutions
  • Experience in legal aspects would be an added advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
