Job ResponsibilityJob Purpose:
The Credit Control Officer will proactively engage with clients and business stakeholders to progress resolution of overdue balances and investigate and reconcile unallocated cash receipts by providing clear details and instruction to outsourced partners for allocation. You will be responsible for the prioritisation of accounts to be chased by using a balanced approach to cash collection and aged debt reduction. The standard debt chasing includes chasing by telephone, email, or letter and you will deal promptly with customer with written and verbal enquiries.
Duties
o Collect trading debts for Group companies, by phone, email and in person.
o Follow debt collection processes as agreed with the Chief Financial Office and escalate debt as appropriate.
o Work with divisions to ensure debt collection is maximised and information is communicated as necessary.
o Provide weekly updates of debts excepted to be received in the coming weeks and prepare for weekly debt meetings.
o Help develop and monitor debt collection success measurement criteria,i.e. days sales outstanding.
o Assist in the processing of bank receipts from time to time as may be required.
o Review and input into fortnightly cash flow forecast and debtor report.
o Provide support to the Treasury Manager and Group Credit Control Manager as required, including annual leave cover.
o Target reduction of overdue debt in each division by 5%.
o Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
o Required skill(s): Sage, Filling Skills, Myob Accounting System, MS Office.
o Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
o At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
o Applicants must be willing to work in Puchong.
o Preferably Non-Executives specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
