Job ResponsibilityWe are looking for an experienced Country Accountant. You will report to our CEO & CFO. The position is responsible for all facets of the business's finance function, with oversight of operations and HR. You also will be fully responsible for end to end accounting and financial-related work tasks. You also will be providing the financial advice and proactive support to the management and business operation and trusted business advisor to the CEO/CFO on all aspects of country forecast and business profitability.
Key Responsibilities :
? Ensure proficiency and effectiveness in managing the day-to-day operations of the Finance, and the full spectrum of the accounting functions (AP,AR,GL) to ensure timely and accurate preparation of statutory, monthly management reporting and consolidation
? Working closely with the other Operations teams (locally and regionally) to ensure the accuracy of data, smooth operations, and timely escalations of issues to the CFO
? Analyze and communicate review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet, accountable for the accuracy of the affiliate's financial statements
? Review monthly balance sheet reconciliation - follow up on open items and rectify any anomalies encountered
? Submission of other reporting packages accurately and within the specified timeline
? Monitor banking activities of the organization and control all purchasing and payroll activity and ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs
? Manage and control all receivables and payables in a timely and effective manner
? Responsibility for the timely collection and tracking of all ages debtors, including the issuance of invoices, collection of cash, and maintaining client relationships
? Liaison with auditor/tax consultant/company secretary for statutory reporting
? Provide support to the finance team including, but not limited to, budgeting exercises and
financial forecasts/ reporting
? Identify, discuss and suggest solutions in consultation with the management for continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of operation
? Fast, flexible and effective solutions to ad hoc business needs
Prerequisites :
? Degree in Accounting & Finance with minimum 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
? A degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent. ACCA, CPA or other accounting professional
qualifications will be an added advantage.
? You need to stay and be based in Johor Bharu (JB) as this job will be remote working.
? You are required to come to our studio in Aleph Singapore, for 2 or 3 days in a week.
? Knowledgeable and experienced in accounting principles and practices; financial reporting, audit and taxation for Singapore.
? Proficiency in relevant accounting software preferably in Xero and Google Suite application
? Meticulous, independent, proactive, responsible, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
? Analytical, numerical, and systematic with an eye for details
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
