Job ResponsibilityThe Clinical Assistant will assume the following roles and responsibilities:
- Greets patient in friendly and polite manner.
- Ensures patient's Medical Record and relevant document is available prior to commencement of clinic.
- Assists consultants in procedures - invasive and non invasive and maintains privacy at all times.
- Directs patient to respective diagnostic department for investigation and treatment (e.g. to clinic, X-ray department, treatment room, physiotherapy etc.)
- Ensures follow-up appointments are issued, explained and keyed in HIS accordingly.
- Facilitates patient on admission to ward.
- Answers telephone calls and directs calls to consultant when necessary.
- Maintains clinic and procedure room cleanliness and tidiness upon utilizing.
- Ensures items used (e.g. consumables, procedures) are charged accordingly.
- Ensures adequate supplies (e.g. consumables, equipment etc.) prior to commencement of clinic.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Maintains systematic filling and ensures safe dispatch of Patient Records to Medical Record Department.
- All Clinical Assistants in the clinic shall be made aware and shall follow the formal relationships, lines of communication and authority as depicted on the organizational chart.
- For specialised Nursing areas, specific Job Duties & Responsibilities are detailed in the preceptorship book, and the employee's initial on the job training (OJT).
- At all times, to maintain strict confidentiality of any information you may become aware of during the course of your duties.
- Enhance professional growth and development through reading of relevant literature, as well as attendance to relevant training programmes (internal & external).
- Perform other tasks / duties as assigned.
Job Requirements- SPM
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in similar field.
