Job ResponsibilityInspect, diagnose and repair mechanical defects in golf course during operation and construction equipment and report to CM
Grind, back lap, set and adjust mowers to cut at various height
Overhaul and repair automotive and other powered equipment including engines, brakes, transmissions, differentials, springs and mufflers; secure and replace tools and parts
Assist for administrative duties in relation to operation of workshop including purchasing, receiving of spare parts, departmental billing, parts inventory control, safety checklists for equipment. Vendor association in terms of bidding and purchase of needed material
Responsible to maintain sufficient of engine oil, hydraulic, grease and gear oil inventories to facilitate standard service of equipment within specification time and hour. Make sure orders are received, correct and sufficient at all time
Assist and suggest to CM in capital equipment purchases whenever need and provide list of unwanted or unrepairable equipment for write of fixed asset
Responsible for continuing education to all employees/ operator in terms of safety operation, basic check prior to use of equipment before perform in the field
Maintain shop in orderly condition, neat and clean up of working areas after repairs on daily basic
Scrutinize operators proper use of turf equipment in field with spot check, ensure operators conduct basic refill of engine oil, water cooler, battery water, fuel tank, fluid levels, wash and proper park after each use
Ability to repair and maintain all golf course equipment
Educate operators how to change repair tires, maintain mileage reports, record and reflect worn and tear of parts prior to breakdown
Program to refurbish equipment body repair and painting in yearly basic
Perform equipment modification to suit the use in turf maintenance objective if needed
Other duty and job description shall be followed as per direction of Course Superintendent and Department operational need from time to time
