Job Description

Job Responsibility
  • Liaises/corresponds (mainly follow-ups) with all parties involved in the application process for documents and information required for preparing application documents;
  • Checks to ensure that supporting documents for applications are in order and if they are not in order, alert/inform supervising Consultant and advises relevant party or parties accordingly;
  • Prepares documents, such as application documents, memos and payment vouchers;
  • Advises clients on queries regarding simple immigration application procedures for ongoing cases;
  • Provides updates to clients, including but not limited to updates when a key step in an application process has been performed, i.e. a benchmark task has been completed;
  • Adheres to client specific protocols, if there is any, such as SLAs etc;
  • Maintains client files in accordance with agreed practice protocols, including but not limited to updating Fragomen's case management system promptly, adhering to naming conventions & data privacy policy, amongst others;
  • Liaises with Immigration Department and other government or quasi-governmental agencies responsible for processing immigration applications to eg. request applications to be expedited or for updates or for clarification;
  • Monitors deadlines and follow-up dates;
  • Follows up on status of submitted applications on daily basis (if there is still no outcome after the usual processing times);
  • Assist supervising Consultant to manage clients' expectations;
  • Carries out general administration duties, including scanning, filing and answering calls.

Job Requirements
  • A good degree or diploma in any discipline.
  • Experience in the area of labour mobility and/or immigration law is an advantage.
  • Reliable and conscientious with a good eye for detail.
  • Good organization skill.
  • Good time management skill.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong client service mentality.
  • Strong analytical and judgement skills.
  • Good facilitation and communication skills.
  • Ability to track multiple case matters.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
