Job ResponsibilityTo assist and provide support to Head of Unit for asset maintenance services of water treatment plant.
This includes manage, lead, plan, strategize and organize M&E teams for the smooth and efficient
maintenance operation for M&E Production Southern Region
Job Description:
Primary Duties
1. Coordinate implementation of preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of all
mechanical equipment in accordance to schedule and dateline. Prepare weekly maintenance
schedules and raise work order.
2. To guide and supervise maintenance personnel to perform service, repair and overhaul all
mechanical equipment in water treatment plant according to O&M manual and standard
practise.
3. To give regular feedback to superior for equipment repair / maintenance status including
providing mechanical equipment specifications & resources planning.
4. To perform work efficiently in trouble shooting method with good understanding in the production
process and operating system.
5. Provision of weekly reports for PM and CM for each supervised task and maintain monthly KPI
reporting.
6. To supervise contractor and vendors for new installation, repair or maintenance for mechanical
equipment.
7. To perform inspections and diagnose mechanical problems, skill to use appropriate judgment
pertaining to work methods and tools.
Other Responsibilities
8. To ensure that critical mechanical spares are available at store and to inform superior on the
necessary part replacement for spares. Assist in technical inspection of incoming mechanical
parts, verification of quantity ordered and delivered, the spare meet the specification and
requirement.
9. Develop, implement and maintain short-term and long-term plans for mechanical equipment
needs and emergency situations.
10. To work closely with Production team on mechanical isolation before action being carried out,
equipment repairs status & safe operating procedure of the equipment. To carry out installation,
modification & testing of equipment when necessary.
11. To carry out other duties as ordered by the superior from time to time including duties outside
the scope of works especially during crisis or ERP.
12. To be able to use the Maintenance / Inventory computerised system in his section. Highlight
problems & identify suitable enhancement to the system. Job reporting and updating of record
for maintenance work through the computer.
13. To accept the responsibilities when transferred to other Sections or Departments from time to
time as may be directed by the Management as part of the multiskilling training or exposure.

Compliance to Authority and HSE
15. To ensure all HSE Act, Rules, Regulation and other requirements describe by plant
management are addressed and followed accordingly. To participate in all Safety Health and
Environment Program in ensuring objective and target are achieved.
16. Liaise with government agencies such as ST, DOSH, KPDNHEP, SPAN, etc to comply with
laws and regulations in Malaysia.
17. To ensure all Rules, Regulations and other requirements describe by the company are
addressed and followed accordingly.
18. To ensure that safety procedures & good housekeeping are followed. Responsible to all aspect
of 5S implementation at designated location and workplace.
19. Responsible to report all incidents or pollution immediately to prevent fatality or other major
impact.
20. Responsible to ensure at all time subordinate is complying with safety & health procedure while
carrying their works.
Compliance with Air Selangor Integrated Management System (AIMS)
21. Adhere to AIMS policy at all times and where relevant to participate in the management
system initiative
22. To ensure the objectives are established in the management system, in line with the context and
direction of the strategic organization
23. Communicates the importance of effectiveness of management system and it needs
24. To ensure that management system is implemented effectively and updated; and
25. Assist main coordinator for related case in Emergency Response Plan (ERP), Business
Continuity Plan (BCP) during crisis / emergency.
