Job Description


Job Responsibility
  • Team learning and knowledge sharing within team; appropriate strategic timing for people up-skilling in line with newly developed technologies and strategic practices.
  • Coaching and guidance of stakeholders.
  • Performance management and identification of training needs.
  • Accountable for a customer centric culture and shift to legendary service provision.
  • Assist in the forecasting, planning and development of the portfolio's budget and business plans for Data Science.
  • Support the creation of the business case for initiatives and projects in functional areas.
  • Constantly monitor data science trends, emerging tools and technologies to continually improving frameworks, processes and best practices for predictive models.
  • Align planning against the strategic intent of the company with agreed business outcomes within the portfolio, relevant IT Architecture Enterprise principles, key approved decisions and enterprise wide programs.
  • Translate the strategic vision into intelligence requirements and drive the fulfilment of these technical requirements.
  • Analyse business change drivers to determine business, information, solution and information technology requirements.
  • Support the business with customer Value Management by developing models to analyse customer behaviour.
  • Develop and implement an end-user self-service reporting & analytics strategy (data models, reporting tools, training, testing & review, and retirement of abandoned reports).
  • Analyse complex data systems and document data elements, data flow, relationships and dependencies.
  • Build and manage data sets for reporting integration, dashboards, data visualization, data mining, and predictive analytics.
  • Develop and drive the execution of projects, tracking, monitoring and compliance of Projects.
  • Ensure effective implementation of the agile analytics project management model .
  • Value generation of analytics use case.
  • Timeline of use case completion.
  • Innovatively and genuinely of analytics model .
  • Create business solutions through a combination of science and software.
  • Develop products and services cooperating with project managers, developers and business staff.
  • Track business effect of products and improve existing solutions through systematic and scientific analysis with business impact in mind.
  • Operate and manage services with high quality and availability, cooperating with operation and development staff.
  • Identify Business Improvement and Optimisation opportunities that will result in improvement of process performance.
  • Ensure that benchmarking is conducted with other companies and organizations within and outside the industry.
  • Identify and implement innovative ways to use minimum resources to achieve maximum outputs.
  • Manage and monitoring of KPIs to ensure all IT partners' deliveries are done accordance to contract SLA as well as T&C.
  • Manage collaboration and relationship between different departments in delivering solutions to meet customers' business needs.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Periodic reporting of project status and escalation of issues as and when required.
  • Conduct project post-mortems to identify successful project elements and improvement areas.
  • Undertake any other duties and functions that are assigned by the Head of Data Science.

Job Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science/ Data Science/ Mathematics/ Economics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years in similar position in Telecommunication, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) or relevant industry.
  • Experience in CMS, CRM and other Telco Operations Systems, Cloud-based technologies and Artificial intelligence technologies.
  • Act as a subject matter expert of advanced analytics methodology and Data Science. Knowledge and experience in Python, feature engineering and machine learning is a must.
  • Able to conceptualize, prototype, design, develop and implement large scale big data science solutions on premises and in the cloud.
  • Able to develop and implement advanced analytics use cases with statistical learning, machine learning, graph theory and deep learning to yield business value from data.
  • To implement predictive modelling, multivariate analysis, research design, association rules, time series analysis, survival analysis, forecasting and optimization techniques to formulate and solve data analysis problems.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in GIS, NLP, deep learning and real-time analytics is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills - providing verbal and written communication that is outstanding to both direct reports and senior management as well as other stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking - able to look at alternatives and consider new ways of thinking to problem solve.
  • Multi-tasking - can manage several concurrent projects and prioritise demands.
