Contract: 1-year Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Salary: Pay Band 5 (starts from MYR 4,138 per month) Start Date: ASAP Closing Date: 21 September 2021 - 23:59 Singapore Time (GMT +8) Role Purpose The post holder will be the Assistant International Officer - Cardiff University. The position holder will work on projects for our client, Cardiff University. The post holder's main responsibility will be to assist in implementation of Cardiff University's strategies for student recruitment, provide support for stakeholders, as well as coordinate a diverse portfolio of marketing and promotional activities in Malaysia. The post holder will work towards:
  • achieving agreed student recruitment targets
  • representing Cardiff University at education fairs and recruitment events
  • supporting the institution's agent network, lead generation, conversion, PR, and alumni strategy
  • developing Cardiff University's brand and profile across online platforms and across stakeholder networks
  • providing administrative support for the above functions
Main opportunities and challenges for this role:
  • Working with a diverse team of colleagues across Cardiff University to support the University's Malaysia student recruitment strategy.
  • Working proactively and independently to develop and support Cardiff University's agent and partner networks for student recruitment.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform Cardiff University of trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Working closely with education institutions in Malaysia to implement and support Cardiff University across student recruitment, brand promotion, agent/stakeholder network management
Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:
  • Working closely with Cardiff University to implement and achieve student recruitment targets
  • Working closely with Cardiff University's agents and stakeholders to maximise student conversion
  • Supporting Cardiff University agent and stakeholder network relations
  • Represent Cardiff University at student recruitment events and PR activities
  • Ensuring coordination and compliance in implementation of University plans for recruitment and brand development
  • Enhancing Cardiff University's profile, brand awareness and reputation in Malaysia
  • Conducting other support duties as required to meet the objectives of Cardiff University
Requirements Speaking & listening, reading & writing
  • English C1 (Aptis, IELTS 6.5 or equivalent)
  • Bahasa Malay
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Role specific knowledge and experience:
  • Minimum one year of work experience in relevant customer facing role
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Demonstrate project/programme management experience of design, delivery, and evaluation
  • Self-driven, target oriented and ability to work independently
