Job Description


Job Responsibility

Job Purpose:

The Assistant Accounts Manager's core responsibility is managing the Company accounting process and external reporting and reporting of the company's performance. S/he will also be responsible for instilling a positive culture in the company and managing a good working relationship with the internal teams, external and auditors. S/he will report directly to the CFO and indirectly to the Finance Manager, and s/he will also have many interactions with cross-functional teams under the Group.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform and review finance and accounting overall functions as part of day-to-day operations, month-end closing and year-end closing.
  • To assist and support Audit ensuring timely completion as per Audit Schedule.
  • To assist and support local tax matters, manage the cash flow, cash cycle and net-working capital.
  • Understand business model to monitor and analyze financial information on Margin, Cost and other key businesses.
  • To establish appropriate accounting processes in compliance with Accounting Standard.
  • Work closely with the CFO and Finance Manager in deep-diving issues and exploring opportunities to increase the efficiency and profitability of the business.
  • To assist and provide support in review contracts on finance terms.
  • Liaise with Group IT department for implementing and rectifying system issues.
  • Undertake any other jobs and duties may be assigned from time to time.


Job Requirements
  • Minimum Degree in Accounting or an ACCA / PA holder or other equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years management accounting responsibility in full set of accounts.
  • Familiar with Malaysia accounts standards and taxations.
  • Independent, able to work under pressure and tight deadline.
  • Preferably candidate with E-commerce experience.
  • Knowledge of cloud based accounting software application is a plus, with experience of financial system migration.
  • Highly professional to work with other Functional and cross-functional Teams.
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal. Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia will be a plus
