Job ResponsibilityROLE SUMMARY:
As the Airfreight Manager at IFB Freightbridge (M) Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible to define, implement and execute Air Freight business development and positively contribute to expanding business with main responsibilities summarised as follows: -
Main Responsibilities
o To grow the airfreight volume regardless inbound or outbound or cross trade
o To develop new and potential businesses within Malaysia
o Coordinate/ work closely with all 3 IFB offices as well as ULD to increase airfreight volume
o To review targets and goal setting for Airfreight department (monthly and quarterly performance)
o To monitor carrier performance and recommend actions for compliance failure
o To implement recommendations for improved efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings
o Pro-actively engage in all issues that will impact service and follow through to completion
o To support business developments process and customer visits as necessary to achieve growth targets
o To grow business from new customers focused on an assigned group of trade lanes
o To manage Airlines/ Co-loader network and ensure best buying rates for the Company
o To ensure timely monthly closing of all airfreight jobs and proper filing
o To negotiate with GSA for better/ more competitive airfreight procurement
o To update on CRM on a timely manner
o Able to work independently as well as to participate in ad-hoc tasks as and when required by the Management
Requirements:
o Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, preferably major in Business Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics
o Minimum 5 years of experience in Air freight forwarding industry with at least 3 years in managerial role is required for this position
o Operational and commercial excellence mindset
o Strong industry knowledge, market trend and logistics requirements
o Results oriented with the drive to grow an international freight forwarding business
o Self-starter and hands-on problem solver
o Excellent communicator with the ability to interact and deal with different people of diverse cultures
o Good computer proficiency in MS Office
o Those who can start immediately will be an added advantage
