Job ResponsibilityPoratha Group of Companies have an immediate vacancy for the position of Accounts Manager with 5 - 8 years experience in a similar role for the following areas of responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts department including:
- month and end-year process
- accounts payable/receivable
- cash receipts
- general ledger
- payroll and utilities
- treasury, budgeting
- cash forecasting
- revenue and expenditure variance analysis
- capital assets reconciliations
- account statement reconciliations,
- fixed asset activity
- debt activity
o Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
o Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
o Coordinate and complete annual audits
o Provide recommendations
o Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
o Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
o Meet financial accounting objectives
o Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
Requirements and skills
o Proven working experience as Accounts Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
o Advanced computer skills on MS Office, SQL Accounting software and databases
o Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
o Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
o High attention to detail and accuracy
o Ability to direct and supervise
o BS degree in Accounting or Finance
