Job ResponsibilityJOB PURPOSE
o To maintain the general ledger on a monthly basis
o To prepare monthly management accounts
o To prepare audit schedules and to deal with the auditors on an annual basis
o To prepare tax schedules and to deal with tax agents on an annual basis
o To prepare other financial reports related to the monthly management accounts as and when required
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
o Check and verify suppliers' invoices, key into accurate account code and cost centre
o All documents are filed in an orderly manner
o Verify staff advances and staff claims before payments are made
o Follow up on staff advances taken and ensure that advances are returned on a timely basis
o In respect to staff claims, check that all receipts are intact and that the casting is right before submission for approval
o Ensure proper maintenance of accurate, complete and up to date accounting records of the company for timely production of the management accounts
o Ensure all financial policies and procedures are adhered to the company policies
o To update assets in Fixed Assets Register on timely basis
o Prepare journal entries for the month
o Prepare management accounts for the month and submit to management for review
o Prepare audit schedules immediately after closing of the financial year end
o Prepare tax schedules when receive the company tax organizer from tax agents and revert by the datelines given
o Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, lawyers, company secretary and other statutory bodies/authorities
