Job ResponsibilityThe manager will be reporting to Head of Finance and will have dotted line reporting to Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer on the controlling matters.
The manager would need to have strong business and commercial acumen, financial and budgeting knowledge, process improvements as well as ensuring accuracy of timesheet reporting with compliance of total requirements and company's policies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Manage financial efficiency of the organization;
o Oversees daily operations of the finance & accounts department, and purchasing department on budgeting limits; prepare annual budgets & forecasts, periodic reviews and monitor results.;
o Responsible for providing detailed monthly analysis and commentary of the performance of respective Business units involving financial and management reporting as well as utilisation reporting;
o Presentation of monthly financial reports in accordance to corporate requirements and ensure all monthly financial/management reporting timelines are met;
o Coordinate and manage the planning process of annual Budget and rolling Forecast, liaising closely with various stakeholders;
o Utilising Business Intelligence (BI) tools to delivery meaningful insights into business performance;
o Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, listing rules and other regulatory requirements;
o Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agent, solicitors, bankers, company secretary, other professional and regulatory bodies;
o Ensuring effective internal control procedures and compliance of accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements;
o To enhance, develop, implement accounting policies and procedures including automation of process to maintain and strengthen internal controls, in order to improve the overall finance operations and effectiveness of the company;
o To ensure financial requirements for tendering and procurement are met, and are on track
o Monitoring of payment receivable from clients - Material services requisition (MSR), monthly invoice and other back charges, ensuring invoices are out within a timeline;
o Provide technical guidance to subordinates in ensuring the accuracy of financial and accounting information;
o Assist management with all banking and company financial matters; reminding of important tasks, deadlines;
o Support and manage the compliance of Risk Management processes;
o Demonstrate good leadership skills to the team with strong coaching, motivation and empowerment;
o Fast, flexible and effective solutions to ad hoc business needs will be an additional challenge.
o To perform general accounting related functions and ad-hoc duties and when assigned by Management.
EDUCATION:
Candidate must possess at least Graduate Degree in Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, or Commerce;
Optional: Professional qualifications (ACCA/CIMA/MICPA) or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 to 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Preferably Manager/Executive specialized in Banking/Financial Services or equivalent.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
o Computer literate (especially Ms Office) and possess knowledge of computerized accounting system.
o Proficiency in spoken and written English
